Washington Auto Parts Family-Owned Ohio Stores acquire Principal Truck Supply, Inc.

SUNBURY, OHIO, [February 20th, 2019] — Family-owned and operated Washington Auto Parts, a nineteen-store automotive aftermarket store group in Central Ohio, announced today that it will be acquiring Principal Truck Supply, Inc. and will take over operations on March 1st, 2019.

One of the largest independent distributors of automotive parts in Central Ohio, Washington Auto Parts was founded in Johnstown, Ohio by Ken Washington in 1977, and is now co-owned and operated by his sons Mike and Bob Washington along with third generation owners Matt and Corey Washington.

Principal Truck Supply located at 4015 Fondorf Dr, Columbus, OH 43228 has been a staple in Columbus, Ohio for years. Servicing Central Ohio with their medium and heavy duty truck needs since 1991, Principal Truck supply is one of the largest independent distributors of heavy duty truck parts in Central Ohio. A member of HDA Truck Pride, North America’s largest independent provider of parts and service to the commercial vehicle aftermarket, allows Principal Truck Supply to be part of the best program in the country.

The success of Principal Truck Supply over the years can be attributed to their hardworking and dedicated team of employees who will continue to drive their success in the future. The location will continue to operate at the existing facility with the existing team as they always have.

The 19 Washington Auto Parts stores and distribution facility, service Athens, Delaware, Hocking, Knox, Licking, Madison, Marion, Morrow, Pickaway, Richland, Union, Vinton, and Wyandot counties. The group offers a full machine shop, including engine block work, cylinder head work, U-joint installation, press work, and turning drums and rotors. The group also specializes in agriculture, hydraulic hoses, tools, equipment, and automotive paint.
